We understand that . . . In the United States it is the law that all males must register with the Selective Service System upon turning eighteen years of age.  Click here for more information.

However, we also acknowledge that registering and enlisting are two very different actions.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church does have an official position in regards to serving in the military.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church advocates that members serve in the military as non-combatants, but accepts those who elect to serve in other capacities or not to serve at all--according to the conscience of the individual member.

If you, or anyone you know, are from Arkansas or Louisiana and are seeking information or assistance, please contact the our office at  (318) 361-6240 ext. 201 for more information.
We would be happy to send you a kit with information to help you decide if a military career is for you.  If you are already enlisted and would like information on how to be an Adventist in the US military, we can help.
