"Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord." Matthew 25:21

Giving Faithful Service

By Eric B. Hare printed in the book Make God First p.99.

We must all learn to obey God, whether we understand the reason for the command or not. In a very early issue of the Sabbath School Worker I came across a story that illustrates this principle.

An Eastern king needed a faithful servant. Two men applied for the position. The king paid both men the day's wage in advance, then took them to a well and put a basket down beside it. "Now, men," he said, "try your best to fill this basket with water from the well. I'll be back this evening to see how you have gotten on." So saying, he went away; and the men began to work. It wasn't long before one man said, "What a silly business - trying to fill a basket with water!"

Where did your offering go?

2017 was a record year for hurricanes. We saw hurricane Harvey followed by hurricanes Irma and Maria. Two special offerings were called for late last year. The first by the Union to help victims of Harvey and then a larger call from the North American Division Adventist Community Services for general hurricane relief. Would you like to know what happened?

In the Arkansas-Louisiana Conference, money that was given through local churches was then passed through the conference to the union or division. Since last fall, $14,483.67 was given for the Hurricane Harvey Fund and $24,614.15 was given for the Adventist Community Services Hurricane Relief Fund. Thank you to each one who gave to these funds.

New Release - AdventistGiving Android and iOS Apps

It has been known for some time that many people would like to give offerings when a call is made, but they never carry cash. Everything happens via their mobile phone! The offering plate at church is passed on to the next person and by the time they get home, they may have forgotten that they had wanted to give. Wouldn't it be great to have a mobile option for giving so that right then and there, in church, people are able to give?

We are excited to announce the release of AdventistGiving mobile Apps! They are available on Android and iOS:

Get it on Google Play
Get it on the App Store

These apps are in addition to the online www.adventistgiving.org website which is still available.
