The Arkansas and Louisiana Conference Association of Seventh-day Adventists are separately
Incorporated legal entities that exist for the purpose of protecting and helping our churches and
Schools located in the respective two states.
Each corporation holds the title to our church properties and guides our members in the
development of those properties into church worship and educational centers.
Whether your church votes to buy an existing church and worship complex, or start with basic
land and develop plans to build a new facility we are here to help.
FIRST STEPS IN BUILDING A NEW CHURCH OR BUYING AN EXISTING
FACILITY:
- Discuss the purchase with your church family. Plan for the future.
- New church buildings require planning and zoning approval, sometimes State approval, blueprints, sometimes architectural drawings, etc.
- Develop a financial plan to purchase. This could involve a fund raising program or perhaps you could develop a multi-year plan that would divide the process into affordable stages. If a loan is necessary, please contact the Association Director at tmccormick@arklac.org or call (318) 631-6240.
- Contact the Association Director for a building and property inspection, as not all land or buildings are acceptable.
- Obtain approval for new buildings from the conference Building Committee, Association Board, Executive Committee and city, county and state planning and zoning authorities.
- Work closely with the Association Director for assistance at each step.
