The function of the Conference Clerk is to keep up-to-date membership figures for the Arkansas-Louisiana Conference. This includes, but it is not limited to, the following:

  • Keeping count of all the conference church, companies, groups and schools
  • Assisting local church clerks with their responsibilities
  • Keeping baptism records for conference pastors

We want to be sure that we know where our members and their families are, and have proper contact information for them so the church family and conference can minister to them. We also want to be sure that each family unit is receiving informational mailings from the Arkansas-Louisiana Conference: the conference Newsletter, the Record (from the Southwestern Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists), and the Adventist World (from the North American DIvision of Seventh-day Adventists).

The Arkansas-Louisiana Conference has a total membership of 10,412, which is distributed among its 87 churches, 9 companies and 7 groups. We have 13 schools, one of which is Ozark Adventist Academy. Our Hispanic organizations include 10 churches, 7 companies and 2 groups. We have 63 pastors, 31 who are full time and 32 are part time. We have 68 churches, companies or groups in Arkansas and 29 in Louisiana.
